Maudeen Peters, 87, of the Fair Play Community of Panola County, TX, passed away on Wednesday afternoon, March 29, 2023, in Shreveport, LA. Maudeen Holland was born on July 9, 1935, in Fair Play, to Gilbert Colbert and Lucy Maude Harris Holland. She attended Carthage schools until the 10 ^th grade and graduated from Sunset High School in Dallas. Maudeen was of the Methodist faith and was a member of Allison Chapel Methodist Church. She was a member of the Eastern Star Carthage Chapter #747, a member of the Service League for Sammy Brown Library and a member of the ETMC Auxiliary. Maudeen retired from General Electric after working many years there as a secretary. She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Gary Wayne Peters; daughter, Lisa Ellen Pantuso; brothers, Matthew Harris Holland and Colbert Royce Holland; and sisters, Mary Zell Halvorson and Nelda Jo McCommack.

Maudeen is survived by her son, Charles Randall Peters and wife Paula; brother, William Mitchell Holland and wife Darla; sister, Elizabeth Ruth Jordan; eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday, April 3, 2023, at Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. David Kennedy officiating. Interment will follow at Waldrop Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2-4 p.m. on Sunday at the funeral home.

Pallbearers are Paul Fess, Patrick Fess, Phillip Pantuso, Nico Pantuso, and Patrick Pantuso.
