Mary Nell King, 82, of Carthage, TX, passed away on Saturday morning, Jan. 12, 2019, at her home in Carthage. Mary Nell Snider King was born on June 19, 1936, in Dallas, TX to the late Robert Orlando and Orra Lillian Anderson Snider. She graduated from Adamson High School in Dallas. Mary Nell married Lincoln Henry King on July 13, 1957, in Las Vegas, NV. Mrs. King attended Panola College where she earned an Associate's Degree. She earned a Bachelor's Degree from UT Tyler and a Master's Degree from Stephen F. Austin State University. Mrs. King taught at Panola College until her retirement. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Carthage. In addition to her parents, Mrs. King was also preceded in death by sons, Lincoln and Gerald King and her brother, Ernest W. Jones.

She is survived by her devoted husband of 61 years, Lincoln H. King of Carthage; son, Eric A. King of Ft. Worth; and daughter-in-law, Bernie King of Carthage.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 16, 2019, at Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Allen Tilley officiating. The family will receive friends from 10-11 a.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home prior to the memorial service.
