Mary Lou Johnson, 95, of Tatum, TX, passed away on Friday night, Sept. 27, 2019, in Longview. Mary Lou Sanders Johnson was born on Aug. 4, 1924, in rural Rusk County, TX to the late Louis and Susan Regan Sanders. She married Olin Ray Johnson and he preceded her in death in the 1950's. Mrs. Johnson lived most of her lifetime in Rusk County and was a member of Smith Chapel House of Prayer near Tatum. She was also preceded in death sons, Robert L. Johnson and Raymond Bradley, daughter, Calvie N. Bradley; sister, Gladys Clemmons; and brother, Robert Sanders.

Left to cherish her memory are sons, Bennie Ray Johnson, Louis R. Johnson, Danny Johnson (Lizzie), Donny Johnson, Homer Jackson, and Johnny Jackson; daughters, Wanda L. Johnson, Clara Turner, Anna Hutchings (Calton), Susie Simonette (Randy), and Patricia Jackson; daughter-in-law, Ann Johnson; brother, Clark Harper, Jr.; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 4, 2019, at Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home Chapel with Minister Ricky Sparks officiating. Interment will follow in Smith Chapel Cemetery near Tatum. A viewing will be held from 2-6 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home.

Pallbearers are Michael Bradley Jr., Danny Johnson Jr., Jatavian Norris, Rodrick Jackson, Dorian Johnson and James Simonette.  Honorary pallbearers are Bennie R. Johnson, Danny R. Johnson, Homer L. Jackson, Louis R. Johnson, Donny R. Johnson and Johnny L. Jackson.
