Funeral services for Mary Lou Boothe, age 84 of Carthage, Texas, will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, May 28, 2008 at Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Stephen Wiggins officiating. Entombment will follow at Restland Memorial Park Mausoleum. The family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home. Mrs. Boothe passed away on Sunday night, May 25, 2008 in Carthage.
Mary Lou Beavers Boothe was born on November 23, 1923 in Hope, Arkansas to Charles Wright and Essie Emma Lafferty Beavers. Mrs. Boothe graduated from Snyder High School with the class of 1941. She married James Madison Boothe, Jr. on February 14, 1942 in Snyder. Mrs. Boothe worked as an LVN for many years at Panola General Hospital and Panola Nursing Home. She had lived in Carthage since 1972, moving from Hereford, Texas. Mrs. Boothe was a member of Carthage Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, who passed away on September 23, 2006; three brothers, Billy, Holland Ray, and Forrest Beavers; and one sister, Eloise Smith.
Mrs. Boothe is survived by one son, Wiley Dwain Boothe and wife Debra Ann of Carthage; three sisters, Estalee Haney of Austin, Darlene Ramage of Carthage, and Betty Brown and husband Bill of Kent, Washington; two grandchildren, April Crowley and husband Sean of Carthage and Dallas Boothe of Carthage; and two great-grandchildren, Savannah Boothe and Alexander Paul Crowley both of Carthage. Numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and many friends also survive Mrs. Boothe.
Serving as pallbearers are Shaune Boothe, Ronnie Rhiddlehoover, Larry Davis, Tommy Boothe, Charles Ramage, Riley Boothe, and Nicky Parker.
Serving as honorary pallbearers are Jim Anders, A.C. Thompson, Ed Finklea, and Tom Ben Williams.
