Martha Ann Hight, 92, of Carthage, Texas, passed away on Wednesday morning, May 29, 2024, in Minden, Louisiana. She was born on January 23, 1932, in Panola County, Texas to the late Jesse and Mattie Pearl Long Robinson. She married Delma Davis Hight on January 19, 1952, and they celebrated 62 years together before he preceded her in death on May 2, 2014. Mrs. Hight was lovingly known as "Aunt Martha" to many and "Mamaw" to her grandkids and great-grandchildren. She was always cooking or reading through her cook books and recipes that she never followed. Mrs. Hight enjoyed feeding her family and visiting with everyone. She was like a mother and a confidant to many people. Mrs. Hight loved joking and was good at stirring up trouble. She was a long-time member of Enterprise Missionary Baptist Church in the McCoy community of Panola County, Texas. She was also preceded in death by siblings, Bill Robinson, Sue Armstrong, Robert Louis Robinson, Jesse Robinson, and Earl Long Robinson and daughter-in-law, Linda Wedgeworth Hight.

She is survived by her son, Jerry Hight; grandsons, Jeremy Hight and wife Stevie Gail, Jesse Hight and wife Anabella, and John Hight and wife Ashley; great-grandchildren, Aubrey Jane and Jameson Hight, Jesse and Lorenzo Hight, and Brookelyn, Haley, Jubal, and Jude Hight; Many nieces, nephews, and a host of friends also survive Mrs. Hight.

A funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 2, 2024, at Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home Chapel with her grandsons officiating. Interment will follow in Bethlehem Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2-3 p.m. on Sunday at the funeral home prior to the funeral service.

Serving as pallbearers are Jeremy Hight, Jesse Hight, John Hight, Jesse Illan Hight, Lorenzo Hight and Pat Anderson.
