Graveside services for Mrs. Margie Faye Waldrop Wyatt, age 91 of Gary, Texas, will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 9, 2009, at Waldrop Cemetery with Chaplain Carey Ponder officiating under the direction of Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. on Saturday at the funeral home. Mrs. Wyatt passed away on Friday afternoon, August 7, 2009, in Henderson.

Margie Faye Waldrop Wyatt was born on September 14, 1917, in Beckville, Texas to Claudia Ray Waldrop, Sr. and Tennie Williams Waldrop. She married Euell Edgar Wyatt on November 2, 1935, and he preceded her in death on May 23, 1999. Mrs. Wyatt worked as the cafeteria manager for Houston Independent School District. She moved to Gary in 1974, from Houston. Mrs. Wyatt was a Baptist. She was also preceded in death by her parents, one sister, Mozzie Tompkins; and one grandson, Keith Cox.

Mrs. Wyatt is survived by one son, Larry Wyatt and wife Jean Ann of Mt. Pleasant, South Carolina; two daughters, Reba Wyatt O'Shields of Montgomery and Marie Wyatt Cox and husband Sidney of Livingston; one brother, Ray Waldrop, Jr. of Carthage; one sister, Winnie Gentry of Carthage; six grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren. Numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and many friends also survive Mrs. Wyatt.
