Margaret Ann Boles Copeland, 73, of Carthage, TX passed away December 16, 2020, in Carthage. Mrs. Copeland was born Aug. 16, 1947, in Klamath Falls, OR to Izac Silas and Floradale Geraldine Depuy Boles. Margaret married James Metcalf Copeland in Reno, NV. Mrs. Copeland earned her Bachelor's Degree in Education and Special Education from SFA State University and spent several years teaching. She also worked for a number of years as a beautician. Mrs. Copeland loved spending time outdoors swimming, fishing, horse back riding, raising animals and camping. She enjoyed antiquing and attending the sporting events of her children. Mrs. Copeland is preceded in death by her parents; uncle, Jimmy Green Boles and his wife Joyce Boles; uncle, Johnny Depuy; sister-in-law, Iva Mae Davis and her husband Bob Davis; and in-laws, Altha and Anges Copeland.

Mrs. Copeland is survived by her loving husband, James M. Copeland of Carthage; children, Katie Copeland of Carthage and James Copeland, Jr. of Carthage; grandchildren, Taylor Cheek, Kody Copeland, Kielynn Hartley, Kyler Hartley, Jase Michael Riley, Alivia Nickole Copeland; brother, Robert Boles and his wife Cordilia of OR; sister, Carolyn Vierra of CA; numerous other relatives and a host of friends.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 23, 2020, at the Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in Walton Cemetery in the Del Ray Community of Panola County, TX. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home.
