A funeral service for Mr. Marcus W. Smith, 65, of Riderville, will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 19, 2014, at Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Dale Reed officiating. Interment will follow in Restland Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home. Mr. Smith passed away on Tuesday morning, Dec. 16, 2014, at his home in Riderville.

Marcus Wilton Smith was born on May 23, 1949, in Carthage to the late Wilton and Lerlene Raymond Smith. He graduated from Carthage High School with the class of 1967. Mr. Smith married Mary Ann Tulick on Oct. 13, 1973, in Cadillac, MI and she preceded him in death on Sept. 22, 2013. He worked as a welder in pipeline construction until his retirement and was a member of Local 798 Pipeliner's Union in Tulsa, OK. He was of the Baptist faith.

Mr. Smith is survived by two sons, Mark Smith and wife Christy and Josh Smith; one brother, Jackie Smith and wife Sybil; one sister, Shirley Pierce; and one grandson, Austin Smith all of Riderville.
