Manuel Montes Cordova, 28, of Carthage, TX, passed away on Thursday afternoon, Jan. 17, 2019, in Loving County, TX. He was born on Oct. 6, 1990, Campeche, Mexico to Manuel Montes Toscano and Angela Cordova. Manuel worked for Courtney Construction in Carthage. He was of the Catholic faith and was a member of the St. William of Vercelli Catholic Church in Carthage.

He is survived by his father, Manuel Montes Toscano and step-mother, Karla Montes; mother, Angela Cordova; siblings, Christian, Ashlyn and husband Daniel Jones, Javier, Dylan, Karla and Alan; grandparents, Teresa and Manuel Montes; uncle, Carlos Montes and wife Susan; aunt, Alma Olmedo and husband Israel.

A Mass of Christian Burial Service will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 26, 2019, at St. Therese Catholic Church in Center, TX with Father Nelson Muñoz officiating under the direction of Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home. Interment will follow at a later date at Panteon Municipal in Acayucan, Veracruz, Mexico.

Pallbearers are Javier Montes, Josue Montes, Dylan Montes, Carlos Montes, Francisco Ramones and Antonio Guevara.
