Mamie Ruth Endsley, 86, of Gary, TX, passed away on Saturday night, April 2, 2022, at her home near Gary. She was born on May 28, 1935, in Atlanta, Cass County, Texas to the late Marvin and Catherine Burson Collins. Mamie graduated from high school in Atlanta with the class of 1953. She married Neely Forran Endsley on Sept. 18, 1953, and he preceded her in death on Aug. 12, 1995, after 42 years of marriage. Mrs. Endsley loved to travel, enjoyed reading, but most importantly she was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She worked for many years at Ben Franklin and Wal-Mart. Mamie lived in Panola County since 1962, moved to Gary in 1997, from the Riderville Community and was a member of Eastside Baptist Church. Mrs. Endsley was preceded in death by her parents; husband; daughter, Deanna Lynn Endsley; sisters, Dorothy Ann Carlisle and Jeannie Elizabeth Domanski; and step-mothers, Dorothy Helen Collins and Gertie Collins.

She is survived by her sons, Richard Wayne Endsley, Ronald Wesley Endsley and wife Janet, and Stephen Alan Endsley; brothers, Jerry Neal Collins and David Russell Collins; sister, Judy Ellen Lightfoot; grandchildren, William, Christopher, Eric, and Dylan Endsley; great-grandchildren, Brysun and Logan Endsley; special friends, Faye, Sherry, and Carolyn Williams; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many friends.

A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, April 6, 2022, at Laws Chapel Cemetery in Atlanta with Bro. Dale Walker officiating under the direction of Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home.

Honorary pallbearers are Richard Mojica, Kevin Lake, Chris Endsley, Dylan Endsley, William Endsley, and Eric Endsley.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Tasha Cotton and Accent Care Hospice for the loving care provided to Mrs. Endsley.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made St. Judes Children's Research Hospital.
