Funeral services for Mrs. Maggie L. Williams Rayson, age 71 of Carthage, Texas, will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 12, 2008 at the First Assembly Church of God in Christ with Bishop Hubert Owens officiating. Interment will follow in the Holland's Quarters Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. on Monday at Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home Chapel. Mrs. Rayson passed away on Friday morning, February 8, 2008 in Carthage.

Maggie Lou Wallace Williams Rayson was born on February 21, 1936 in Panola County Texas to J. M. and Opal Lee Owens Wallace. Mrs. Rayson had lived most of her life in Panola County and was educated in the Fair Play Community Schools. She married J. J. Rayson and was a member of the First Assembly Church of God in Christ near Carthage. She was preceded in death by her parents, J. M. and Opal Wallace; her husband, J. J. Rayson on October 5, 1994; and one sister Sandra Coleman.

Mrs. Rayson is survived by three sisters, Linda Diane Jones of Carthage, Zelma Teal of Ft. Worth, and Dora Jennings of DeBerry and two brothers, L. J. Jordan of Houston and Jerry Jordan of Ft. Worth. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many friends also survive Mrs. Rayson.
