Lynda Sue Button Risen, 70, of Carthage, TX, passed away on Friday afternoon, May 1, 2020, in Tyler, TX. Lynda Sue Button was born on Sept. 30, 1949, in Nacogdoches, TX to the late Joseph Berry "Pete" Button and Nora Bea Wade Button. She graduated from Beckville High School with the class of 1969, and attended Panola College where she earned her beauty operator's license. Lynda married Harold Lee Risen on March 18, 1989, in Beckville and he preceded her in death on Nov. 24, 2013. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star. Mrs. Risen lived most of her lifetime in Panola County and was of the Baptist faith. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and a grandson, Joseph Jones.

Survivors include sons, David Jones of Bossier City and Mark Jones and wife Melissa of Henderson, KY; siblings, Patsy Permenter and husband Floyd of Henderson, TX and Joe Button and wife Shirley of College Station; and grandchildren, Ryker, Kira, Evar, Kara, Ember and Aubree. Numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and many friends also survive Mrs. Risen.

A private family graveside service will be held at McKnight Cemetery in Cushing, TX with Bro. Bruce Head officiating under the direction of Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home.
