A memorial service for Mrs. Lula Mae Brumley, 62, of Carthage, will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 27, 2014, at Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. James Walls officiating. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home. Mrs. Brumley passed away on Wednesday morning, Sept. 24, 2014, in Longview.
Lula Mae Burks Brumley was born on July 2, 1952, in Waskom to the late Arthur and Lula Mae Johnson Burks. She worked as a bus driver at C.I.S.D for many years until her retirement. Mrs. Brumley moved to Carthage in 2001 from DeBerry and was of the Baptist faith.
Mrs. Brumley is survived by two daughters, Sharon Mosley of Irving and Tameka Jones and husband Anthony of Longview; one son, Johnny Wesley Mosley, Jr. of Ft. Worth, two sisters, Lois Hamilton and husband Emmett of Ft. Worth and Ann Grant and husband Lucious of Round Rock; four brothers, James and Charles Burks of Waskom and Willie and George Burks of Ft. Worth; grandchildren, Jasmine Brent of Dallas, Tiara Jones of Tyler, Shadaria Hall of Dallas, D.J. Hall of Dallas, and Jalen Mosley of Grand Prairie; and one uncle, Rev. Albert Johnson of Waskom.
