Mrs. Lovetta Joyce Handorf, 85, of Carthage, Texas passed away Tuesday, February 23, 2021 in Carthage. She was born November 12, 1935 in Texas to Joseph Burton and Ethel Whittiker Pierce. Lovetta married Don Joseph Handorf and together they celebrated 52 years until he preceded her in death on December 28, 2007. Mrs. Handorf worked for over 15 years as a Nursing Home Administrator. She loved spending time with her family, going to the casino and was an avid Dallas Cowboy fan. Mrs. Handorf is also preceded in death by her parents; children, Don Joseph Handorf, Jr., Henry Burton Handorf, Michael Ray Handorf; brothers, Charles Burton Pierce and Donald Ray Pierce.

Mrs. Handorf is survived by her grandchildren, Amanda Handorf and fiancé Patrick Brown, Amber Handorf, Aimee Handorf, Diane Summers and husband Daniel, Samantha Jamison, Joshua Steed, Derren Steed; numerous great grandchildren; sisters, Diane Casto, Linda Sonia and husband Bill; brother, Ronnie Pierce and wife Betty; sister-in-law, Pat Pierce; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.

Cremation arrangements were entrusted to Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home, 1131 State Hwy 149, Carthage, Texas 75633.
