Obituary

Louise Smith, affectionately known as "Nannie", 93, of Carthage, Texas, formerly of Shreveport, Louisiana, passed away on Tuesday morning, April 26, 2022, in Carthage.  She was born in Homer, Louisiana on August 24, 1928, to the late Grover Cleveland and Appie Jane Stewart Moore.  After graduating from high school, Louise attended Beautician School. She married Clinton Lefever Smith on September 1, 1950, and he preceded her in death on February 25, 2015.  Louise was of the Baptist faith.  She loved Elvis, enjoyed traveling, and her favorite flowers were sunflowers and yellow roses.

She is survived by her family, Bill and Pam Kneipp; Rusty and Brooke Kneipp and their children, Colby and Addi; Jacob Kneipp and his son, Wyatt; Tammie and Jon White and their children, Ericka Shull and husband Randall, Tori Burford and husband Garrett, Chance White, Megan Ackerman and husband J.J., Kade Hogg, and Madalin Farmer; and Beckie Alverson and her daughter, Lindsay.  A host of other loving family also survive.

A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, April 28, 2022, at Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Dennis Aaron officiating. Interment will follow in Camp Ground Cemetery, Bienville, Louisiana. The family will receive friends at 6 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home.

Pallbearers are Rusty Kneipp, Colby Kneipp, Jacob Kneipp, Jon White, Mason Elliott, and Brant Akin.  Honorary pallbearer is Wyatt Kneipp.
