Obituary

Lola Belle Davis Harris, 68, of Tyler, TX, formerly of Carthage, TX, passed away on Wednesday afternoon, March 18, 2020, at her home in Tyler. Lola Belle Davis was born on Dec. 3, 1951, in Indio, CA to the late Robie and Annie Lee Morris Davis. She attended Indio schools and later earned a nursing certificate. Mrs. Harris moved to Carthage in 1974, from California and worked at Carthage I.S.D. until her retirement. She was a member of Temple of Deliverance & Healing International Worship Center in Tyler. She was the current Presiding International General Mother for the 24 churches under the Covenant Churches of TODAH, and a was a licensed evangelist, Sunday school superintendent, intercessory prayer team member, a 2019 honors graduate of the Lion of Judah Training Institute of TODAH, having earned her bachelor's degree. She also served as the personal intercessor to the presiding Bishop of TODAH International Worship Center, Inc. Mrs. Harris was preceded in death by her parents; siblings, Laydell Lathan, Margie Allison, and Ervie Lee Simmons; and a grandson, Ja'Colby Lamar Robinson.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, Sheril Slade (Tramaine), Francesca Mitchell (Kavin), Tracy Jones, and Kevin Harris; siblings, Melvine Wilson, Robie Moore, Jessie Davis, Timothy Davis, Lorretta Davis, Joseph Davis, Matthew Davis, Regina Miller, and Napoleon Davis; grandchildren, Ja'Lesia Robinson, Ja'Marcas Jones, Ja'Niya Mitchell, Ja'Daylon Jones, Taniya Harris, Makayla Harris, Ja'Nasya Harris, Jeremiah Jones, Ja'Shawn Harris, and Jazlynn Harris; and great-grandchildren, Zamoria Smith and Zayden Lewis. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and many friends also survive.

A graveside service will be held at Holland's Quarter Cemetery with Rev. Raymond Ingram officiating under the direction of Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home. A come and go viewing for Mrs. Harris will be from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. on Tuesday, March 24, 2020, at the funeral home for friends and family to come in and pay their respects.

Due the current COVID-19 outbreak, everyone is encouraged to exercise good judgement and follow CDC guidelines with regard to large gatherings and social distancing. Should you choose to instead pay your respects in some private manner, the family respects your choice.
