A graveside service for Mrs. Lois Hooper Harrison, age 78, of Gary, TX, will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday, March 11, 2013, at Antioch Cemetery near Carthage under the direction of Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home. Mrs. Harrison passed away on Saturday morning, March 9, 2013, at her home in Gary.

Lois Baker Hooper Harrison was born on Nov. 8, 1934, in Gary, TX to William Henry and Ida M. Duke Baker. She loved fishing, gardening, flowers, outdoors, feeding friends, and spending time with her grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Jessie Hooper who died in 1975; one sister, Christine; and a great-grandchild, McKinzie Magee.

Mrs. Harrison is survived by one son, Jack Ray Hooper and wife June of Eugene, OR; two daughters, Janice K. Morris and husband Sid of Mineola and Amanda Thames and husband Steve of Gary; one brother Bruce Baker of Lufkin; eight grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
