Lizzie Ann Hodge Nash, 64, of Carthage, TX, passed away on Saturday morning, Feb. 9, 2019, at her home near Carthage. She was born on Aug. 15, 1954, in the Longbranch Community of Panola County, TX, to the late Johnnie and Boydie V. Pipkins Hodge. Lizzie graduated from Carthage High School with the class of 1972. She married Charles Nash and he preceded her in death in May of 2005. Lizzie was a member of Union Murvaul Presbyterian Church in Longbranch. She worked as a school bus driver for Carthage ISD for many years. She enjoyed being with her family and loved cooking and painting. She was also preceded in death by her son, Karmario Jeter and her brother, Albert Hodge.

Lizzie is survived by sons, Kenshannon Jeter and Kawan Jeter (LaToyia); daughter, Lakeadra Jeter; brothers, Theo Hodge, Arthur Hodge (Denisa) and Milton Hodge (Kathrine); sisters, Johnnie V. Fields and Mildred Griffith; 7 grandchildren; great-grandchild, D.K. Mullins; and special friend, Ulysses Graves. She is also survived by numerous other family and friends.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, Feb. 15, 2019, at First Assembly of God in Christ with Bishop Hubert Owens officiating under the direction of Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Holland's Quarter Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home.

Pallbearers are Jamaal Hodge, JaKobie Hodge, Lee Travis Starling, Kasper Hodge, A.J. Bryand and Theo Hodge, Jr.  Honorary pallbearers are Kenshannon Jeter, Kawan Jeter, Alocous Jeter, Kamron Jones, Kawan Jeter Jr. and Xavier Jeter.
