Obituary

A funeral service for Mrs. Linda Pepper, age 63, of Beckville, TX, will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, May 22, 2013, at Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Nate Bienhoff officiating. Interment will follow in Martin Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home. Mrs. Pepper passed away on Saturday morning, May 18, 2013, in Longview, TX.

Linda Faye Sipes Pepper was born on Apr. 19, 1950, in Brawley, CA to the late Marion and Dene Edgmond Sipes. She graduated from Beckville High School with the class of 1968, and went on to earn her beauty operator's license. Linda married William Eugene "Bill" Pepper on Feb. 2, 1969, in Marshall, TX. She worked as a beautician for many years until her retirement. Linda lived most of her life in Beckville where she served many years on the Beckville Housing Authority. She loved spending time with her family and grandchildren and was an avid shopper. Linda was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene in Longview.

Mrs. Pepper is survived by her husband, Bill Pepper of Beckville; two sons, Bill Pepper, II and wife Shaman of Dallas and Andy Pepper and wife Shelley of Tatum; one daughter, Tina Pepper of Beckville; three brothers, Butch Sipes and wife LaNece, Sonny Sipes and wife Jeanie, and David Sipes and wife Phyllis all of Beckville; one sister, Audrey Johnson and husband Jimmy of Beckville; and six grandchildren, Laura Pepper and fiancé Jake Carpenter, Kinley, Caroline, Natalie, and Preston Pepper, and Maci Sutherland.

The family would like to extend a heartfelt "thank you" to the staff and nurses of Longview Regional Medical Center, especially Mrs. Tara Clanton, and Dr. Elizabeth Breedlove and the staff and nurses of the Tatum Medical Center for all of the loving care that was shown to Linda throughout her illness.

Serving as pallbearers are Chris Sipes, Adam Sipes, Shane Courtney, Barry Gill, Jeff Weathers, Larry Gill, Jr., and Terry Wayne Elliott.

Serving as an honorary pallbearer is J.R. Johnson.
