Linda Hanlon, 75, of Carthage, TX, passed away on Wednesday night, Oct. 24, 2018, in Longview. Linda Diane Stull Hanlon was born on Oct. 23, 1943, in Portland, OR to the late Lincoln Carlisle and LaVeda Maxine Baker Stull. She graduated from Enid, OK High School with the class of 1962, and earned a bachelor's degree from Phillips University in Enid. She married Thomas Patrick Hanlon on Aug. 3, 1963, at Christ United Methodist Church in Enid and he preceded her in death on Dec. 27, 2012. Mr. and Mrs. Hanlon moved to Carthage in 1971, from Enid and they were members of Rehobeth United Methodist Church where she played the organ and piano. Linda was well-loved by her numerous piano students over the years. She also enjoyed reading to students when she worked at the school library in addition to dressing up like Pippi Longstocking!

She is survived by her daughter, Jennifer Hanlon of Nacogdoches; son, Nathan Hanlon of Carthage; and sisters, Nancy Anton and husband Gary of Georgetown and Sally Randall and husband Jack of Enid. Numerous cousins and other relatives also survive.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 29, 2018, at Rehobeth United Methodist Church with Rev. David Kennedy officiating under the direction of Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 2-4 p.m. on Sunday at the funeral home.

Honorary pallbearers are James Moon, Gene Whitaker, Manuel Rodriguez, James Powell and Robert Smith.
