Linda Jean Bogs, 66 of Beckville, TX, passed away on Saturday afternoon, July 8, 2023, in Carthage, TX. Linda Jean Bennett was born on Dec. 30, 1956, in Houston, TX, to the late William Earl and Helen Marie Reed Bennett. She graduated from Southwood High School in Shreveport, LA with the class of 1976. Linda married James Corbitt "Jimbo" Bogs, Jr. on May 3, 1980, in Houston. She loved collecting ceramic dolls, flowers, and sweets. Linda moved to Carthage in 2002, from Cleveland, TX and was a member of Northside Christian Center. She was also preceded in death by her grandmother, Cecil Hickman.

She is survived by her devoted husband, Jimbo Bogs; children, James William Bogs and wife Kimberly and Serena Naomi Fincher and husband Brian; sister, Elizabeth Freeman; grandchildren, William Charles Bogs and Levi Caelum Fincher; numerous nieces and nephews including, Maegan McDaniel and Brooklin Janiszyn; special friends, Billie Reed and Rebecca Thompson; and her loving dog, Callie Jo.

The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Panola Nursing and Rehab, Christus Good Shepherd Medical Center, Heart's Way Hospice, the Willed Body Program at UT Southwest, and Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, July 16, 2023, at Northside Christian Center with Pastors Aaron Bequette and Brandon Pierce officiating under the direction of Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home.
