Linda Berry, 68, of Carthage, Texas, passed away on Thursday morning, January 19, 2023, in Tyler, Texas. Linda Faye Berry was born on April 5, 1954 in Blythe, California, to the late Hasten Nelson and Lizzie Mae Johnson Nelson. She graduated from the Monrovia High School Class of 1972, in California. Linda was a cook at ETMC in Carthage and also at Briarcliff Nursing Home. She loved to cook and throw parties.  Linda was the life of the party.

Linda is survived by her son, Patrick Booker (Monica Brown-Booker, Sonya Green); daughters, Melissa Bedford (Maury), Sabrina Brown (William), and Sandra Scott (Billy); ex-husband, Wilbert Berry; siblings, Michael Wilcots, Thomas Johnson, Hasten Nelson (Della), Bruce Nelson, and Roshell Nelson; grandchildren, Jermain Arnold, Patrick Booker, Trayvon Booker, Domonique Booker, and Tracey Booker; and Great-Grandchildren, Vivian Booker, Journey Arnold, P.J. Booker, James Booker, and Deuce; and special friend, James Wilcots.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, January 28, 2023, at the Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home Chapel.
