Funeral services for Mrs. Lillie Bell Morgan Fields, age 75, of DeBerry, TX, will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, March 20, 2010, at Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in Crossroads Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home. Mrs. Fields passed away on Friday evening, March 12, 2010, in Longview.

Lillie Bell Morgan Fields was born in DeBerry on Aug. 19, 1934, to Freeman Morgan, Sr. and Luvenia Beechum Morgan. She attended DeBerry and Galveston schools. Mrs. Fields lived most of her life in DeBerry where she was a member of Evergreen Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Bertha Lee Wiley; and one brother, Sherman Morgan.

Mrs. Fields is survived by one daughter, Luvenia Marie Fields Gillstrap of Houston; one son, Hosea Morgan and wife Elizabeth of Lansing, KS; two brothers, Charles Perry Morgan and wife Luvida of La Marque, TX and Freeman Morgan, Jr. of Forest Hill, TX; two sisters, Artha Ree Morgan Brooks and husband James of DeBerry and Addie Ruth Laster of Cathedral City, CA; twelve grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; and six great-great grandchildren. Numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends also survive Mrs. Fields.

Serving as pallbearers are Hulon G. Reed, Jr., John G. Tucker, Robert Baker, Ike Keke, Kenny Blankumsee, and Bryan Morgan.

Serving as honorary pallbearers are Freeman Morgan, Jr., Charles Perry Morgan, Hosea Morgan, John G. Tucker, Johnny K. Tucker, Justin B. Gillstrap, Hosea Morgan, Jr., Bryan Morgan, Ronald D. Tucker, and Mister Terrell.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to Crest Care Nursing Home in Longview, Lexington Place in Rusk, and GSMC Emergency Room Staff in Longview.
