Lewis Eugene Smith, 83, of Longview, Texas, passed away on Friday afternoon, December 10, 2021, in Longview. He was born on February 10, 1938, in New Waterford, Ohio to the late Leo A. and Mabel May Spencer Smith. Mr. Smith served in the U.S. Army and was honorably discharged. He worked for many years as a truck driver until his retirement. Mr. Smith married Mary Louise Guevara on July 30, 2004. He was preceded in death by his parents and his first wife, Mary Lou Smith.

Survivors include wife, Mary Smith of Longview; sons, Randy Smith and wife Karen, Tony Smith, and Luke Smith; and siblings, Wayne Smith of Georgia, Willie and Sandy Smith of Columbiana, Ohio, and Dorothy Chevrco of Sun City Cyrus, Florida.

A Mass will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Monday, December 20, 2021, at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 2108 Ridgewood Drive, Longview, Texas 75605. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home.
