A funeral service for Mrs. Leola Dale King Guyon, age 95, of Carthage, TX formerly of Pasadena, TX, will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 2, 2012, at Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Mike Taylor officiating. A private burial will follow at Murvaul Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1-2 p.m. on Sunday at the funeral home prior to the funeral. Mrs. Guyon passed away on Friday night, Aug. 31, 2012, in Carthage.

Leola Dale King Guyon was born on May 10, 1917, in Houston, TX to Drue C. and Frances Elizabeth Bamberg King. Mrs. Guyon was a member of the Eastern Star and was a very involved in community service. She was an outstanding card, board game, and bingo player. Mrs. Guyon moved to Carthage in 2000 from Pasadena where she was a member of the Central Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Roy D. Guyon who passed away in 1995,and one brother, Drue King.


Mrs. Guyon is survived by two granddaughters, Leslie Bell Finch and husband Fred of Dallas and Jenny Johnson and husband Ricky of Carthage and five great-grandchildren,Jacob Finch, Annabelle Finch, Gracie Johnson, Abbie Johnson, and Cooper Johnson.
