Leo Raines, 82, of Beckville, TX, passed away on Wednesday afternoon, June 9, 2021, in Longview. W. Leo Jackson Raines was born on Feb. 11, 1939, in Gilmer, TX to the late Andrew Jackson and Ella Ivey Dye Raines. He worked as a market manager at Brookshire Brothers for over 37 years, retiring in 2004. Leo married Lola Ann Hightower on April 6, 1958, and she preceded him in death on Feb. 7, 2018. He was an active member of Rock Hill U.M.C. He was also preceded in death by a daughter, Melissa Gail Raines and siblings, Islaree Bumgardner, Zelma Lee Winters, Othel Warner, Delbert Raines, Roy McBrayer, Ruth Sowell, and Bernice Lemieux.

He is survived by daughters, Teresa Dixon and husband Ted of Beckville and Angela Raines and her friend, Mike Sheedy of East Mountain; brothers, Ewel Raines and wife Beverly of Carthage, Luel Raines of Carthage, and Kenneth Raines of Beckville; grandchildren, Jodie Dixon, Christopher Baldobino and wife Meagan, Tad Dixon and wife Angela, Amanda Youngblood and husband Justin, and Brandi Barr and husband Matt; and 9 great-grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, June 12, 2021, at Langley Cemetery with Rev. Cody Walker and Rev. J.B. Morris officiating under the direction of Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home.
