Obituary

A funeral service for Mrs. Lee Otric Sanders Wallace, age 75, of Carthage, TX, will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 24, 2012, at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church near Carthage with Rev. Leon Hicks officiating. Interment will follow in Holland's Quarters Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. on Friday at Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home. Mrs. Wallace passed away on Tuesday evening, Nov. 20, 2012.

Lee Otric Sanders Wallace was born on Aug. 18, 1937, in Clayton, Panola County, Texas to Hady and Ella Mae Toler Sanders and Arline Galloway Sanders. She graduated from Turner High School. Mrs. Wallace married Arthur Lee Wallace and he preceded her in death in 1985. She worked for many years at the Thiokol Plant in Karnack and later as a nurse's aide at Carthage Healthcare. Mrs. Wallace was the best cook in the world, loved fishing, gardening, flowers, and loved the outdoors. She didn't just talk about love, she demonstrated it. Mrs. Wallace played the piano for Pleasant Grove Baptist Church and Crossroads Baptist Church Youth Choir. She was also preceded in death by her parents and one brother Verlis Sanders.

Mrs. Wallace is survived by two sons, Larry Sanders and wife Patricia of DeBerry and Mike Wallace and wife Stephanie of Carthage; three daughters, Linda Darlene Allison and husband Roy Lee, Linda Louise Wallace, and Sandra Kaye Ingram and husband David all of Carthage; two sisters, Mae Stella Sanders of Carthage and Ruby Nash of Nacogdoches; eleven grandchildren; and seventeen great-grandchildren. Numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many friends also survive Mrs. Wallace.

Serving as pallbearers are Lukebra Allison, Larry Sanders, Jr., Tavares (Man) Allison, Welton Sanders, Jr., Tony Sanders, and R.D. Sanders.

Serving as honorary pallbearers are Welton Sanders, Sr., Mike Arthur Wallace, Roy Lee Allison, David Ingram, and Larry Sanders, Sr.
