Larry Alan Wells, 43, of Carthage, TX, passed away on Saturday night, Sept. 15, 2018, in Panola County due to injuries sustained in an automobile accident. He was born on Dec. 28, 1974, in Houston to S.J. and Kathryn Wear Wells. He attended Gruver, TX schools. Larry loved the outdoors including hunting, fishing, camping, and metal detecting. He moved to Carthage from Gruver in 1996, and was of the Baptist faith. He was preceded in death by his father, S.J. Wells in 2012 and brother, Roy Wells in 1996.

Survivors include his mother, Kathryn Wells of the Antioch Community; daughters, Corryn Rodgers of Borger, Sara Smith of Waskom, and Allison Wells of Kilgore; brother, Ray Wells and wife Jan of Antioch; sisters, Deloris Griffin and husband Keith of Karnack and Dorthy Sparks and husband Marvin of Amarillo; loyal companion and friend, Sadie;  nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and many friends.

A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 21, 2018, at Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Rodger Cole officiating. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home.

Honorary pallbearers are Bruce Maines, Rodney Nolen, Charlie Clements, Scott Dyer, Charles Nichols, Elton Weems, and William Spurgeon.
