Larry Bowen "Rooter" Ross, age 64, passed away on February 15, 2016 at the VA Hospital in North Las Vegas, Nevada. He was born on July 26, 1951, in Carthage, TX, to the late Robert Brinson and Billie Bowen Ross. He attended Carthage Schools and graduated from Carthage High with the class of 1970. Larry served in the U.S. Marine Corps at the end of the Vietnam Conflict and lived most of his life in Panola County. He owned and operated Action Auto for several years before moving to Logandale, Nevada in 2009. Larry enjoyed hunting, fishing, 4-wheelin' and working in the garden. He loved helping others and spending time with his family. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Jesse, who passed away in September of 2015.

Survivors include his wife, JoLynn of Logandale; his daughter, Jessica Seppa and husband Brian of Boise, ID; brother, Mike Ross and wife Sue; sister, Betty Lawhorn and husband Tommy all of Carthage; sister-in-law, Ann Ross of Gary; and three grandchildren, Hanna Lind, Jacob Bowen, and Ethan Lawrence Seppa. Several nieces, nephews, cousins and numerous friends also survive Mr. Ross.

A memorial service to celebrate Larry's life will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, March 26, 2016, at Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Allen Tilley and Dr. Dale Reed officiating.
