Larry Dean Donald, Sr., 62, of DeBerry, TX, went to be with his Heavenly Father on Tuesday morning, Jan. 29, 2019, at his home in DeBerry. He was born on Sept. 8, 1956, in Carthage, TX to the marriage of Therion Curtis and Emma Louise Godwin Donald. Larry married Deborah Gail Shields on Sept. 2, 1983, in San Augustine, TX. He was a proud man and a workaholic. He loved hunting, fishing, gardening, his family and friends. Larry lived his lifetime in Panola County and was of the Baptist faith. He was preceded in death by his father.

He is survived by his loving wife of 36 years, Deborah; children, Michael Donald and wife Krista, Casey Griffith and husband Bill, Stephanie Hicks and husband James, Larry Donald, Jr. and wife Dinia, Brandi Donald and wife Dawn, and Teresa Klein; mother, Emma Donald Corley; brother, Curtis Donald and wife Diannia; sister, Letha Vaughan and husband Keith; J.D. Riley who was like a son; 16 grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 1, 2019, at Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Ronnie Mutina officiating. Interment will follow in Antioch Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1-2 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home prior to the funeral service.

Pallbearers are James Hicks, Bill Griffith, Randy Hicks, Royce Thomson, James Dean Stephens, and Charles Head, Jr. Honorary pallbearers are J.D. Riley, Jeff Wyatt, William Buckner, and Paul Langley.
