LaJuana Cockrell, 89, of Katy, Texas passed away on February 12, 2026. She is preceded in death by her husband, Darryl; parents, William and Odetta; and daughter, Debra Donley.
LaJuana was born in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma on June 17, 1936. She graduated from Dickinson High School in Dickinson, Texas. She met Darryl Cockrell while in high school and they were married on September 5, 1954; they were married 61 years.
LaJuana was a homemaker, made wonderful meals and raised four children. For many years she and Darryl owned an antique shop. She refinished furniture, attended to the shop and enjoyed the interaction with her friends and customers. She enjoyed playing the piano, sewing, and making quilts.
Darryl and LaJuana retired in Bellville, Texas where she enjoyed family visits, walking her dogs, watching the birds and wildlife, gardening, feeding the fish in the pond and working on the property.
LaJuana is survived by her three sons, Dale Cockrell and his wife Belinda, Michael Cockrell and his wife Beth, Randy Cockrell and his wife Jennifer; and many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
There will be a private burial at Rehobeth Cemetery in Carthage, Texas.
