A funeral service for Mrs. Lahoma Stacy, age 92, of Carthage, TX formerly of Houston, TX, will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, May 29, 2013, at Woodforest Funeral Home Chapel, 750 Uvalde Rd., Houston, TX with Bro. Gene Talbot officiating. Interment will follow at San Jacinto Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 9-10 a.m. on Wednesday at Woodforest Funeral Home Chapel prior to the service. Mrs. Stacy passed away on Sunday morning, May 26, 2013, in Carthage. Local arrangements are under the direction of Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home.

Lahoma Ruth Garrison Stacy was born on Feb. 16, 1921, in Minco, OK to Will and Ellen Rawl Garrison. Mrs. Stacy married Willie Raye Stacy on Feb. 25, 1939, in Bridge Creek, OK and he preceded her in death on Oct. 29, 1990. Mrs. Stacy moved to Carthage in 2011, from Houston. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Carthage and a former member of Uvalde Baptist Church in Houston for many years. She was also preceded in death by her parents; six brothers, Elmer, Wallace, Vern, Floyd, Lester, and Curtis Garrison; and one sister, Ila Faye Emerson.

Mrs. Stacy is survived by two sons, Jerry Stacy and wife Reba of Carthage and Gary "Buddy" Stacy and wife Janie of Richmond; two daughters, Patricia Henderson and husband Alan of Palestine and Darla Seals and husband Tim of Crosby; one sister, Erma Lois Ragsdale and husband Bill of Tuttle, OK; ten grandchildren; and numerous great-and great-great grandchildren.

Serving as pallbearers are David Stacy, Bryan Stacy, Chris Stacy, Randy Stacy, Duane Henderson, and Joe Rocha.
