Kristi Malone Rieke, 49, of Carthage, TX, passed away on Thursday morning, May 11, 2023, in Tyler, TX. She was born on Oct. 19, 1973, in Carthage to Bobby Wayne and Rebecca Dean "Becky" Smith Malone. Kristi graduated from Carthage High School with the class of 1992, and attended Panola College. She earned a Bachelor's Degree in English from UT Tyler. Kristi pursued her passion of teaching and taught 2 ^nd grade at Beckville I.S.D. She loved her students and the impact she was able to make on their lives. Kristi was also a lover of animals. She lived her lifetime in Carthage and was of the Baptist faith. Kristi married Royce Glen Rieke on Feb. 10, 2018, in Beckville.

She is survived by her parents, Bobby and Becky Malone; husband, Royce Rieke; children, Caroline Martelly, Cade Develin, Rain Rieke and wife Rachel, Ivy Rieke and husband Brent, and Rowdy Rieke; brother, Brian Malone and wife Dusty; grandchildren, Jace Wallace, Kinsley Rieke, Sage Wallace, Max Martelly, and Tripp Wallace; nephews, Trevor Liles and Colton Malone and wife Megan; nieces, Stormy LaBorde and husband Zac and Brooke Malone; great-nephews, Bentley and Kason Malone and Lane LaBorde; great-niece, Railee LaBorde; and aunts, Martha Davies, Reba Gordon and husband Don, and Donna Smith. Numerous cousins, other relatives, and many co-workers and friends also survive.

A memorial service will be held at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, May 17, 2023, at Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Jackie Harris and Dr. Charles Dodson officiating. The family will receive friends from 5-6 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home prior to the memorial service.

Honorary pallbearers are Colton Malone, Trevor Liles, Zac LaBorde, Rain Rieke, Rowdy Rieke, and Brent Wallace.
