Kolten Allen Jacks, 26, of Carthage, TX, passed away on Tuesday, Oct. 31, 2023, in Tatum, TX. He was born July 23, 1997, in Shattuck, OK to Jeffrey Patrick and Tina Michelle Stephens Jacks. Kolten attended Carthage Schools. He was a member of the Cub and Boy Scout Troops at the First Methodist Church in Carthage where he later attended the youth group. Kolten worked for Dock Johnson Roofing Co. and loved being in the outdoors. He was preceded in death by his brother, Robert Lee Gardner and grandparents, Billy Stephens, Johnny Ray Jacks, Jack Stephens, and Betty Simmons.

He is survived by his parents, Jeff and Shannon Jacks and Tina and Steven Goodrich; siblings, Tina Hooper (Greg), Krysta Moore (Charlie), Mika Chambers (Cullen), John Nickel (Cassie), Dustin Jacks (Jamie), Danielle Smith, and Brandon Marney; grandparents, Sherry and Brad Whitehead; and numerous uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 4, 2023, at the First Methodist Church in Carthage with Rev. Kevin Otto and Bro. Bruce Head officiating. The family will receive friends from 10-11 a.m. on Saturday at the church prior to the memorial service.
