Kirven Oliver Griffin passed away on Wednesday night, Aug. 5, 2015, in Sulphur Springs, Texas. He was born on Jan. 31, 1924, in Carthage, to the late James Madison and Olive Beller Griffin. He graduated from Carthage High School. Mr. Griffin served his country in the U.S. Army during WWII and was honorably discharged.

Mr. Griffin is survived by his wife, Weda Faye Atkinson Griffin of Sulphur Springs.

Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home.
