Kerrin Crawford, 19, of Beckville, Texas, passed away on Wednesday afternoon, November 22, 2023, at Cook Children's in Fort Worth, Texas after a lengthy battle with cancer. Corbin Kerrin Crawford was born on October 21, 2004, in Longview, Texas to Jonathan Lon and Nicole Sunshine Schmidt Crawford. Kerrin graduated Magna Cum Laude from Panola College with the class of 2023, earning her Associate's Degree in Science two weeks before earning her high school diploma. She lived her lifetime in the Beckville area and was a member of the First Lutheran Church in Longview. She was preceded in death by great-grandparents, William and Ruby Haden, Rebecca Crawford, George Woltz, Ron and Dorothy Ash, and Arnold and Esther Schmidt.
She is survived by her parents, Sunshine and Jon Crawford; grandparents, Deb and Charley Butts, Stan and Sharon Schmidt, Melynda and Anthony Combs, and Corey Crawford; great-grandfather, Raphael Crawford; uncle, Corey Schmidt; aunt, Brandy Schmidt; uncle, Robby Crawford; aunt, Bambi McAfee and husband John Mark; aunt, Holli Dear and husband Steve; cousins, Shyanne, Heather, Corey, Colbey, Kaitlin, Trestan, Beau, and Lane; furry family, Maeve, Delilah, Shiver, Kiki, and Sadie; and numerous extended family and friends.
The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you for all the community that have prayed for Kerrin through her illness. They would like to especially thank Kerrin's hospital family, staff, nurses, and doctors at Cook Children's in Ft. Worth for the loving care provided through her illness.
A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday, November 27, 2023, at Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Jeff Borgwardt and Bro. Gary Chambers officiating. Interment will follow in Rock Hill Cemetery.
Pallbearers are Robby Crawford, John Mark McAfee, Jacob Veazey, Austin Crouse, Dawson Cunha, and Landon Dixon.
Honorary pallbearers are Shyanne Veazey, Beau Watts, Brian Reed, Jason Bynum, Dwain McGuire, Clayton McGuire, Jeff Propes, Brian Brewer and Chris Rivers.
