Kenneth Wayne Tatum, 57, of Carthage, TX, passed away on Friday afternoon, Feb. 22, 2019, in Tyler. He was born on June 21, 1961, in the Fair Play Community in Panola County, TX to the late Edgar, Sr. and Velma D. Willis Tatum. Mr. Tatum was of the Baptist faith. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Edgar Tatum, Jr. and Benny Ray Tatum; and sisters, Jean Blankenship and Velma Ree Green.

Mr. Tatum is survived by sisters, Nelva Hicks and husband Ralph of Beckville and Barbara Tatum and husband James of Dallas and brother, Tommy D. Tatum and wife Ferene of Lakeport.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 27, 2019, at Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home Chapel. Mr. Tatum will lie in state from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home.

Honorary pallbearers are Rodney Hicks, Fred Blankenship, Chad Hicks, Moses Tatum, Osaze Idumwonyi and Kobe Idumwonyi.
