Kenneth Albert Self, 69, of Chestnut, Louisiana, passed away Sunday afternoon, November 22, 2020, in Panola County, Texas, due to injuries sustained in an automobile accident. He was traveling with a very special and dear friend, Mrs. Linda Gregory, who also passed away in the accident. Mr. Self was born on December 27, 1950, in Natchitoches, Louisiana, to Albert Chris and Leatrice Joyce Harper Self.  He served in the U.S. Army and after his service, he worked in carpentry as a general contractor. He is preceded in death by his father; Albert Chris Self.

Survivors include his mother; Joyce Self; children; Theresa West, David Self, and Tiffany Self; grandchildren, Jenifer Breaux, Brian Breaux, Brandon Breaux, Stephen Breaux, Jessica Breaux, Mia Self, Cole Self, Sabrina Ivy, and Tucker Ivy; and siblings; Faye Foster, Dale Self, and Chris Self. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive.

A memorial service will be held at a later date. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home.
