Funeral services for Mr. Kenneth Bunch, age 87 of Carthage, Texas, will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 27, 2008 at Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Billy Shoffner officiating. Interment will follow in Oddfellows Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. on Saturday at the funeral home. Mr. Bunch passed away on Thursday afternoon, April 24, 2008 in Longview, Texas.
Kenneth Bunch was born on September 15, 1920 in Grandfield, Oklahoma to Eddie Mason and Mary Etta Merritt Bunch. He married Imogene Tremain on November 24, 1944. Mr. Bunch served his country in the United States Navy during World War II and was honorably discharged. He worked for General American Storage Terminal for 19 years and also worked as a carpenter. Mr. Bunch loved to play 42. He had lived in Panola County since 1983 moving from Pasadena, Texas. He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Royce Justin Bunch; two sisters, Bernice Wright and Anna Allois Wilson; and his wife, Imogene Bunch who passed away on December 31, 1995.
Mr. Bunch is survived by one son, Jerry Wayne Bunch and wife Vickie of Hattiesburg, Mississippi; one daughter, Sandra Ann Williams and husband Charlie of Longview; seven grandchildren, Darren Williams, Glenn Williams, Amy Williams Gillman, Jennifer Bunch Martin, Jamie Bunch, David Bunch, and James Bunch; and twelve great-grandchildren, Caleb, Carter, and Cody Gillman, Brittany and Madison Williams, Tyler and Morgan Bunch, Justine, Shelby, and Drew Martin, and Ben and Nathan Williams.
Serving as pallbearers are Darren Williams, Jimmy Tremain, Caleb Gillman, David Bunch, Tim Gillman, and Mark Wilson. Serving as honorary pallbearers are John Goolsby, James Tremain, James Bunch and Charlie Williams.
