Kay Jones, 77, of Carthage, TX, went to be with her Heavenly Father and her husband on Thursday evening, July 30, 2020, while resting peacefully at Sumer Meadows Nursing Facility of Longview, TX. Kay Berry Green was born in Corpus Christi, TX on February 26, 1943, to George and Betty Moore Green and was an only child. She graduated from Sunset High School in Oak Cliff, TX with the class of 1961. Kay married Jimmy Jones, who was an Air Force Veteran, on November 8, 1963, in Dallas. They shared a wonderful life until his death on December 12, 2009. Kay worked at Tyson Foods for many years.  She was of the Baptist faith.  She loved being a wonderful wife and mother.  Kay is also preceded in death by her parents and a grandchild, Eric McDaniel.

She is survived by two daughters, Renee Barber and husband Paul of Longview and Cheryl Denson and husband Dewey of Henderson; grandchildren, Chase Allee, Megan Davis, Ricky Allee, Callie Allee, Ashley Denson, and Gabrielle Denson; and great-grandchildren, Kinsler Davis, River Davis, Lylah Allee, Aleigha Allee, Callen Allee, Jasper Tucker and Lacey Martin.  Kay is also survived by numerous other family members and friends.

A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, August 4, 2020, Odd Fellows Cemetery with Dr. Dale Reed officiating under the direction of Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home.
