Kathy Robinett, 82, of Carthage, TX, passed away on Wednesday morning, Dec. 18, 2019, in Tyler, TX. Elizabeth Kathleen Jones was born on Oct. 22, 1937, in Woodville, TX to the late Benjamin Charles and Ernestine Young Jones. She graduated from Perryton High School with the class of 1956. Kathy earned a bachelors degree in education from Texas Tech University. She married Louis R. Robinett on Aug. 30, 1958, in Perryton, TX and he preceded her in death on Feb. 2. 2002. Mrs. Robinett worked as a third-grade teacher at Libby Elementary in Carthage, retiring after 34 years. She moved to Carthage in 1978, from Mt. Vernon, TX and was a member of the First United Methodist Church. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Kenneth Jones.

Survivors include her children, Sharon Robinett French of Rowlett, Louis R. Robinett, Jr. and wife Brittany of Sulphur Springs, Sandy Robinett of Carthage, and Rusty Robinett and wife Yolanda of Longview; grandchildren, Danielle Oglesbee and husband Josh, Heather Gregory, Louis Robinett III and wife Natalie, and Lila, Ben, Allie, and Sophie Robinett; and a great-grandchild, Isaiah Robinett.

A funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 22, 2019, at Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home Chapel with Reverends Kevin Otto and Leah Morales officiating. Interment will follow in Odd Fellows Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 3-5 p.m. on Saturday at the funeral home.

Pallbearers are Dr. Louis Robinett, III, Benjamin Robinett, Tommy Moore, Josh Ogelsbee, Mark Dion, and Brian Pasquier.
