Memorial services for Miss Kathy Lynn Johnston, age 53 of Carthage, Texas will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 8, 2007 at Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Don Cocklin officiating. Miss Johnston passed away on Sunday morning, February 4, 2007 in Carthage.

Kathy Lynn Johnston was born on September 8, 1953 in Harris County, Texas to Lloyd and Joan Gilmore Johnston. Miss Johnston enjoyed bowling and also swimming in the Special Olympics. Kathy had lived in Carthage since 1988, moving from Pasadena. She was of the Baptist faith. Kathy was preceded in death by her brother, Stephen Johnston who passed away on November 12, 2003.

Kathy is survived by her parents, Lloyd and Joan Johnston of Carthage; two sisters, Susan Esthay and husband Mike of The Woodlands and Connie Hollier of Carthage; four nieces, Monica Strange and husband Chad of Tomball, Melissa Knight and husband Justin of Carthage, Brandi Harris of Houston, and Emily Esthay of The Woodlands; and three nephews, Toby Esthay of Oregon, Mikey Esthay of Baton Rouge, and Stephen Johnston of The Woodlands. Numerous great nieces and great nephews also survive Kathy.

Serving as honorary pallbearers are all the clients at John Logan workshop in Carthage.
