Kathryn Wells, 84 of the Antioch Community in Panola County, Texas, passed away on Sunday, April 13, 2025, at her home in the Antioch Community. Kathryn Elizabeth Wear was born on January 21, 1941, in Paris, Texas to the late Tolbert Arthur and Ellie Montgomery Wear. She graduated from high school in Dimmit, Texas with the class of 1961. Kathryn married S.J. Wells on June 30, 1961, in Plainview, Texas and he preceded her in death on August 15, 2012, after 51 years together. She moved to Antioch in 1996, from Gruver, Texas and was a member of the Antioch Baptist Church. In addition to her parents and husband, Kathryn was also preceded in death by sons, Roy and Larry Wells; siblings, Glendon, Elmer, Lorine, Florence, and Melba.

She is survived by her children, Deloris Behnke and husband Jimmy, Susan Wallner and husband Jim, Ray Wells and wife Jan, and Dorothy Sparks and husband Marvin; sister, Debbie Hornsby; 11 grandchildren; and 7 great-grandchildren. Numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends also survive.

A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, April 18, 2025, at Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Vaun Henry officiating. Interment will follow in Restland Cemetery in Tenaha. The family will receive friends for a visitation from 5-7 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home.

Pallbearers are Elton Weems, Rodney Nolen, Keith Abernathy, Clay Abernathy, Josh Morris, and Jacob Whatley.
