Graveside services for Mrs. Kathryn Ross Lawrence, age 92 of Carthage, Texas will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, June 21, 2006 at Clayton Cemetery in Clayton, Texas under the direction of Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home. Reverend Paul Thomasson and Reverend Don Scott will officiate. Visitation will be held from 5-7 Tuesday evening at the funeral home. Mrs. Lawrence passed away on Sunday, June 18, 2006 in Houston, Texas.
Kathryn Page Ross Lawrence was born on November 28, 1913 in Carthage, Texas to Alma G. and Jessie Page Ross. Kathryn married James Williford "Wolf" Lawrence December 26, 1934 in Carthage, Texas. She was the librarian at the Carthage Service League Library for over 20 years. Mrs. Lawrence had lived her lifetime in Carthage and was a member of the First United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, her sister, Jane Walton; her brother, James Ross; and her beloved husband who passed away on September 18, 1989.
Mrs. Lawrence is survived by one son, James Ross Lawrence and wife Jimmie of Fort Worth; one daughter, Alice Ingram and husband Steve of Houston; one sister, Martha McNeill of Carthage; five grandchildren, Cindy Dewar, Stephanie Zartman and Misty Patterson of Fort Worth, Stephen Ingram of Brea, California and Suzanne Ingram of Longview; and five great-grandchildren, Emily and Robert Dewar of Fort Worth, Logan and Garrett Zartman of Fort Worth, and Ashley Nicole Lizza of Longview.
Serving as honorary pallbearers are Stephen Ingram, Dr. Thomas N. Dewar, Craig Zartman, Wayne Patterson, Terry Williams, Stuart Lipsey, and Dan Jones.
