A funeral service for Ms. Kathrine Ann Majors, age 66, of Lake Cherokee, will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, March 11, 2013, at Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home Chapel in Carthage with Chaplain Keith Lybrand officiating. Interment will follow in Restland Memorial Park near Carthage. The family will receive friends from 3-5 p.m. on Sunday at the funeral home. Ms. Majors passed away on Friday night, March 8, 2013, at her home on Lake Cherokee.

Kathrine Ann Majors was born on July 6, 1946, in Henderson, TX to Odis Pete and Sue Hudson Majors. She was reared in the Grand Bluff Community of Panola County and graduated from Beckville High School with the class of 1964. Kathy graduated from Panola College in 1967 and attended North Texas State. She worked as an oil and gas operator and also as a realtor until her retirement. Kathy was a member of the Grand Bluff Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Sandra Cinnamon who passed away on Jan. 30, 2008.

Kathy is survived by one sister, Bonnie McKenzie and husband Mac of Henderson; one nephew, Matt Strong and wife Michelle of Henderson; and four nieces, Susan Frye and husband Paul of Tyler, Judy Knight and husband Karl of Henderson, Ginger Smith of Tyler, and Marty Cunningham of Commerce.

The family would like to extend a heartfelt thanks to Kathy's caregivers, Tori Smith, Mary Collins, and Nancy Berry, for their loving support and care through her illness.

Serving as pallbearers are Logan Williams, Jacob Knight, Corey Smith, Blake Smith, Jack Williams, and Zachary Knight.

Serving as honorary pallbearers are Cody Webb and Travis Knight.
