Karen Evans, 67, of Long Branch, TX, passed away on Thursday morning, May 14, 2020, in Longview, TX. Karen Jean Jordan was born on Aug. 20, 1952, in Houston, TX, to the late Jim Allan and Betty Jean Wolfe Jordan. She attended Gary schools. Karen married J.B. Evans and he preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Jimmy Wayne Jordan.

Survivors include sons, Jackie Ross and wife Laura of Carthage and Toby Jordan of Marshall; daughters, Sonja Green and fiancé William Toupin of Long Branch and Christie Evans of Carthage; brothers, Mike Jordan of Carthage and Marvin Jordan and wife Debbie of Tenaha; sister, Emma Shires and husband James of Gary; niece, Peggy Marsh and husband Herman of Carthage; and 8 grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, May 19, 2020, at Six Mile Cemetery under the direction of Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 12 noon until 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home prior to the graveside service.

Pallbearers are Jackie Ross, Steven Byrd, Tommy Byrd, Bradley Byrd, William Toupin, and Shannon Jordan.
