Obituary

Funeral services for Kale David Lindsay, 20, of Carthage, Texas will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, May 8, 2007 at Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Michael McGuire, Brother Richard Cook, and Brother James McRight officiating. Interment will follow in Walton Cemetery under the direction of Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home. Kale passed away on Sunday, May 06, 2007 in Shelby County due to injuries sustained in an automobile accident.

Kale David Lindsay was born on May 7, 1986 in Henderson, Texas to Marc and Tina Brown Lindsay. Kale graduated from Tarkington High School in Cleveland in 2004. Kale was a member of the Texas National Guard and was deployed to Kosovo for almost two years, returning to the states in December of 2006. After his tour of duty, Kale enrolled for the spring semester at Panola College and was employed at Jalapeño Tree Restaurant in Carthage. He loved his friends, going to the lake, hunting, fishing, was a sports fanatic, and he enjoyed working out. Kale was a member of the First Baptist Church in Carthage.

Kale is survived by his parents, Tina Parker and husband Jack of Carthage and Marc Lindsay and wife Toni of Beckville; one brother Trey Lindsay of Beckville; two sisters, Kylee Parker of Carthage and Taylor Lindsay of Beckville; maternal grandparents, David and Gayle Garner of Gladewater; paternal grandparents, Sherry Kelley and husband Keith of Carthage and Derwood Lindsay and wife Pat of Hurst; step-grandparents, Wayne and Angie Elliott of Beckville and Jack and Gale Parker of Carthage; great-grandmother, Tommye Lou Garner of Paris; great-grandfather, T. T. Akins of Beckville. Numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives, and many friends also survive Kale.

Serving as pallbearers are Blake Bardwell, Brack LaGrone, Matt Walling, Terry Lindsay, Kelly McCallum, David Leary, Terry Wayne Elliott, and Gerard Allison. Serving as honorary pallbearers are Kale's Texas Army National Guard Unit.
