Judy Yount, 69, of Carthage, Texas passed away Sunday afternoon November 26, 2023 in Longview, Texas. Judy Carolyn Brown was born May 11, 1954 in Shreveport, Louisiana to the late Ralph Albert and Geraldine Moore Brown. She worked in the healthcare industry for many years as an Emergency Medical Technician and later as an X-ray Technician at ETMC in Carthage. Judy loved to shop, cook for special occasions and especially loved her dogs. Mrs. Yount is preceded in death by her parents; and in-laws, Laverne Yount and Thelma Kelly Yount.

She is survived by her husband Jerry Yount; children, Angela Allen (Walter), James Yount (Bonnie), Wendy Broadus (Jason); grandchildren, Bradley Abernathy (Hannah), Ashley Shafer (Travis), James Trevor Yount, Briana Yount, Jaiden Yount, Jason Hunter Broadus, Mark Broadus (Ashley), Anthony Broadus (Teresa), Ethan Broadus, Davy Broadus, Jeremy Broadus, Melody Broadus, Jeffrey Broadus, Becky Broadus, Luke Broadus and Kevin Broadus; great grandchildren, Christopher Shafer, Carly Shafer, Bart Shafer, Ryder Lynn Abernathy, Ronni Abernathy, Ripp Abernathy, Jasper Broadus and Lil' Roy Broadus; brothers, David Brown, Gary Brown (Billie) and Tom Brown; and sister-in-law, Zoe Ann Conway. Numerous other relatives and friends also survive Mrs. Yount

A memorial service will be held at 4 p.m. on Saturday, December 23, 2023, at Truitt Chapel Baptist Church, 1127 County Road 3831, Joaquin, Texas 75954. A visitation will begin at 3 p.m. on Saturday at the church prior to the memorial service. Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home in Carthage.
