Judith Annette Tanner, 92, of Carthage, Texas, passed away on Wednesday afternoon, April 12, 2023, at home in Carthage. She was born on November 17, 1930, in Shreveport, Louisiana, to Thomas Frederick Dupree, Sr. and Judith Elizabeth Hebert Dupree. Judith was of the Catholic faith and was a member of St. William of Vercelli Church. She loved flowers and gardening, family get-togethers, and dancing. She was preceded in death by her parents; siblings, Beatrice Wilder, Mildred Harvey, and T.F. Dupree; and son-in-law, Terry Cooper.
She is survived by her daughter, Debbie Cooper; grandchildren, Tammie White and husband Jon and Beckie Alverson; great-grandchildren, Erika Shull and husband Randall, Tori Burford and husband Garrett, Chance White, Megan Ackerman and husband J.J., Kade Hogg, Lindsay Alverson, and Madalin Farmer; and 8 great-great grandchildren. Numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and other family members and friends also survive.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, April 14, 2023, at St. William of Vercelli Catholic Church with Father Steve Paradis officiating under the direction of Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Centuries Memorial Park in Shreveport. A time of visitation will be held from 9-10 a.m. at the church prior to the service.
Pallbearers are Rusty Kneipp, Jacob Kneipp, Jon White, Kade Hogg, and J.J. Ackerman. Honorary pallbearer is Bill Kneipp.
