Juanita LaGrone, 82, of Carthage, Texas passed away Tuesday morning, June 18, 2024 in Carthage. Juanita Sue Vincent was born January 31, 1942 in Tatum, Texas to the late James William and Bessie Glee Finley Vincent. She was raised and attended school in Tatum where she was a Tatum Eagle cheerleader, football sweetheart, and graduated from Tatum High School with the class of 1960. Juanita married Jeff Raymond LaGrone on May 28, 1960 and they celebrated 58 years together until he preceded her in death on September 5, 2018. She and Jeff owned LaGrone AC, and she worked as the secretary there for over 30 years. Juanita was an avid Elvis fan, a great cook and enjoyed watching football, especially the Dallas Cowboys. She enjoyed going on vacation to Branson, Missouri and Mountain View, Arkansas and loved to spend the holidays with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Juanita was of the Pentecostal faith and a member of Northside Christian Center in Carthage. She is also preceded in death by her brother, Ray Vincent.

Survivors include her daughters, Patti LaGrone, and Amy King and husband Troy; grandchildren, Justin Yates and wife Brookleigh, Rendi Tribble and husband Brandon, Patrick Yates, Ryan King and Cody King; great grandchildren, Karslei Yates, Hadlei Yates, Brielle Tribble, and David James "DJ" Tribble; sisters-in-law, Kay Vincent, Dois LaGrone and Allie LaGrone Dickerson; niece, Christy Vincent Smith and husband Kevin and their children, Sarah and Cameron; and special cousins, Lynn Vincent and wife Carol, and Sandra Mitchell and husband Frank. Numerous other nieces, nephews, cousins and friends also survive Mrs. LaGrone.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, June 21, 2024 at the Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Aaron Bequette and Bro. Brandon Pierce officiating. Interment will follow in the Deadwood Cemetery with Bro. Brandon Tribble officiating. A time of visitation will be from 6-8:00 p.m. on Thursday evening at the funeral home.

Pallbearers are Justin Yates, Patrick Yates, Ryan King, Cody King, Troy King and Brandon Tribble. Honorary pallbearer is Lynn Vincent.

Juanita's family is so thankful for the kindness and care she received over the last few years. First, at Reunion Inn Assisted Living in Marshall and then more recently at Panola County Nursing and Rehab in Carthage. All the nurses and staff were so good to her. The family also wants to give a special thanks to Hearts Way Hospice for the exceptional care and comfort they provided.
